
Catholic Charities of Cortland County (CCOCC) is a non-profit human service agency providing services in Cortland County since the 1970s. Services are targeted to those affected by mental health and substance use disorders, people living in poverty, and at-risk youth.
Care coordination, residential and housing services, peer supports services and emergency assistance are available. The agency was incorporated in 1925 as part of the larger seven county Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Syracuse, which includes Cortland, Broome, Onondaga, Oneida, Madison, Chenango, and Oswego Counties.

Tim Lockwood, Executive Director
Tim joined the Agency in 2015 with over two decades of experience in human services and non-profit management. He was appointed Executive Director in 2021.
Ron Irish, Director of Finance
Ron joined the Agency in 2017 with many years of accounting and financial management in the private sector and the non-profit world.
Melissa McDermott, Director of Community Services
Melissa joined Catholic Charities in 2016 as an Adult Care Coordinator and has since advanced to the role of Director of Community Services. In this leadership position, she oversees the Community Care Coordination, Family & Community Services, and Peer Support Services departments.
Brittany VanWinkle, Director of Residential Services
Brittany began her journey with the Agency in 2015 as an intern and later took on the role of a per diem Residential Assistant. Currently, she serves as the Director of Residential Services, where she manages the Agency's housing programs. These programs include the Lawrence House Community Residence, the Charles Street Residence, the Treatment Apartment and Recovery Apartment Programs, as well as Permanent Supportive Housing and Supported Housing.
