About Us

Providing help & creating hope

Catholic Charities of Cortland County is a non-profit human service agency that has been helping people help themselves since 1976. Over the years we have built a legacy of compassion, a tradition of hope and a network of caring that extends throughout our community.

Catholic Charities envisions a better life for people who live in poverty, are vulnerable or disabled, who struggle with recovery, or are troubled. Our dedication to helping people through direct service, advocacy, and empowerment is part of our mission, and is demonstrated daily through our work. We are committed to providing assistance for people of all faiths, ethnic backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, ages and economic circumstances.

Last year we touched the lives of thousands of community members, helping them through hard times. Whether they are hungry or addicted, young or old, homeless or mentally ill, Catholic Charities brings help and hope to our clients.

We strive to assure that the basic necessities of life - food, clothing and shelter - are available to people in need. Through our varied services, we offer opportunities and assistance to children and families, senior citizens, the disabled and many others.
